1. Who we are
This website, 30daysfreedom.co.uk ("the website"), is operated by João Calca, trading as 30 Days Freedom ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For anything relating to your data, contact us at support@30daysfreedom.co.uk.
We sell digital learning materials: the AI Confident After 40+ Programme Guide, the Companion Workbook and the 8 companion video lessons. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. The information we collect
- Order information. When you purchase, our payment provider collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details in order to process the transaction and deliver your download. We receive confirmation of the order and your email address; we never see or store your full card details.
- Correspondence. If you email us — for support, a refund or a general enquiry — we hold your email address and the content of the exchange.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the website running reliably.
We do not collect any special-category data, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Our products are written for adults.
3. How and why we use your data
We rely on the following lawful bases:
- Performance of a contract — processing your order, delivering your downloads, and providing customer and technical support.
- Legal obligation — keeping order and refund records for tax and accounting purposes.
- Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries, preventing fraud and misuse, and maintaining the security of the website.
- Consent — we will only send you marketing email if you have explicitly opted in, and you may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
4. Payments
Checkout and payment processing are handled by a specialist third-party payment provider (currently Gumroad). Your payment details are entered on and processed by their secure systems, under their own privacy policy, which is linked at checkout. We do not store card numbers on this website.
5. Cookies
This website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The pages you are reading are plain content pages. Our payment provider may set strictly necessary cookies during checkout so that your purchase works correctly; these are essential for the service you are requesting.
6. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how many people visit the website and which pages they read. Any such measurement is not used to build individual profiles. We do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers.
7. Email collection
Your email address is collected at purchase so we can deliver your materials and receipts, and when you write to us so we can reply. We do not buy email lists, and we do not add customers to a marketing list without consent.
8. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the business: our payment provider (order processing), our hosting provider (serving the website), and our email provider (support correspondence). Each acts under its own security and privacy obligations. We never sell personal data. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
9. How long we keep your data
- Order and refund records — up to 6 years, as required by UK tax and accounting rules.
- Support correspondence — up to 24 months after the matter is closed, so we can help with follow-up questions.
- Marketing consent (if given) — until you withdraw it.
Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
10. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased where there is no lawful reason for us to keep it;
- restrict or object to our processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@30daysfreedom.co.uk. We respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern first.
11. Security
The website is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payment processing is handled by a PCI-compliant provider. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to provide the service.
12. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date at the top. Significant changes affecting existing customers will be communicated by email where possible.
